{"id":1071,"date":"2020-07-13T11:36:14","date_gmt":"2020-07-13T13:36:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thegateschurch.com\/?page_id=1071"},"modified":"2020-07-13T11:47:00","modified_gmt":"2020-07-13T13:47:00","slug":"life-on-life-racial-reconciliation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/thegateschurch.com\/?page_id=1071","title":{"rendered":"Life On Life Racial Reconciliation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Life on Life Racial Reconciliation\" width=\"1170\" height=\"658\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kKd0WyRlUwI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><b>Scripture\u2026 <\/b><b>Galatians 3:28\u202f<\/b>There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<b>Story\u2026\u00a0<\/b>The book of Jonah\u00a0tells us\u00a0a unique story not just of a disobedient\u00a0prophet being\u00a0eaten\u00a0by a whale, but about a God\u00a0who\u00a0loves and pursues every\u00a0ethnic family on this planet.\u00a0By\u00a0sending a cross cultural prophet with a word of salvation\u00a0to a city filled with sworn ethnic enemies\u00a0of the\u00a0prophets\u00a0nation Israel,\u00a0the God of the Bible is teaching us about his view of \u201cracial\u201d\u00a0diversity.\u00a0Ultimately\u00a0God is reconciled with that evil\u00a0city Nineveh,\u00a0that diverse\u00a0band of sailors,\u00a0and potentially that\u00a0rebellious\u00a0prophet Jonah.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>What superiority complexes\u00a0<\/b><b>might<\/b><b>\u00a0you have like Jonah<\/b><b>? What is God\u2019s view of ethnicities<\/b><b>, nationalities, and\u00a0<\/b><b>human diversity?<\/b>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Head\u2026\u00a0<\/b><b>What\u00a0<\/b><b>does\u00a0<\/b><b>God tell us about ethnicities<\/b><b>?<\/b>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Acts 17<\/b><b>:26<\/b>\u00a0And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place,\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Gen. 22:18<\/b>\u00a0and in your offspring shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Acts 10:34-35<\/b>\u00a0So Peter opened his mouth and said: \u201cTruly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Psalm 22:27<\/b>\u00a0All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the\u202fLord, and all the families of the nations shall worship before you.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Heart\u2026<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><b>How\u00a0<\/b><b>s<\/b><b>hould I feel<\/b><b>\u00a0about people of other ethnic backgrounds<\/b><b>?<\/b>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Rom. 3:23<\/b>\u00a0For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Acts 10:<\/b><b>34<\/b>\u00a0So Peter opened his mouth and said: \u201cTruly I understand that God shows no partiality,\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>John 13:34<\/b>\u202fA new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Rev.7:9<\/b>\u00a0After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Hands\u2026\u00a0<\/b><b>What\u00a0<\/b><b>does my\u00a0<\/b><b>c<\/b><b>alling have to do with the nations?<\/b>\u00a0<br \/>\n<b>Matthew 28:\u00a0<\/b><b>18-19\u00a0<\/b>And Jesus came and said to them, \u201cAll authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>1 Tim\u00a0<\/b><b>2:1\u00a0<\/b>First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people,\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Luke 10:27<\/b>\u00a0And he answered, \u201cYou shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>2<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><b>Cor<\/b><b>. 5:18<\/b>\u00a0All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Prayer<\/b><b>\u2026<\/b>\u00a0God we celebrate you in your creative power in that you have created humanity in a beautiful diversity.
