In this story we see the two\u00a0different\u00a0responses\u00a0a person\u00a0may\u00a0have to Jesus-\u00a0rejection or acceptance. One person hurled insults and mockeries\u00a0at Jesus, while the other in faith asked Jesus to \u201cremember me\u201d\u00a0when\u00a0Jesus\u00a0entered his kingdom.\u00a0\u201cToday\u00a0you will\u00a0be with me in\u00a0Paradise.\u201d\u00a0Jesus wanted this thief on the cross to know that he was saved and had eternal life.\u00a0He wants you to know\u00a0with assurance that you belong to him and that you have eternal life\u00a0because of the gospel.<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Head\u2026\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Have<\/strong><strong>\u00a0you believed\u00a0<\/strong><strong>the<\/strong><strong>\u00a0gospel for salvation<\/strong><strong>?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">John\u00a01:12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right\u00a0<strong>to become children of God,<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1 Corinthians and\u00a015:3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that\u00a0<strong>Christ died for our sins<\/strong>\u00a0in accordance with the Scriptures,<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which\u00a0<strong>we must be saved.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">John 10:28 I give them\u00a0<strong>eternal life,<\/strong>\u00a0and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Romans 10:9 Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,\u00a0<strong>you will be saved.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Heart\u2026<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>H<\/strong><strong>ave you experience<\/strong><strong>d<\/strong><strong>\u00a0God<\/strong><strong>\u2019s<\/strong><strong>\u00a0grace and presence in your life<\/strong><strong>?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Romans 8:16\u00a0The Spirit himself\u00a0<strong>bears witness with our spirit<\/strong>\u00a0that we are children of God,<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ephesians\u00a02:8\u00a0For\u00a0<strong>by grace you have been saved through faith<\/strong>. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Romans 5:12 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith,\u00a0<strong>we have peace with God<\/strong>\u00a0through our Lord Jesus Christ.<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">John 3:3\u00a0Jesus answered him, \u201cTruly, truly, I say to you, unless one is\u00a0<strong>born again<\/strong>\u00a0he cannot see the kingdom of God.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Hands\u2026<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Is there enough evidence or fruit in your life\u00a0<\/strong><strong>to point to conversion<\/strong><strong>?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2\u00a0Corinthians\u00a05:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the\u00a0<strong>new has come.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ephesians 5:8-11\u00a0For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.\u00a0<strong>Walk as children of light<\/strong>\u00a0(for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">John 15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches.
