Scripture… I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. Psalm 139:14

Story… Acts chapters 22 and 26 are the apostle Paul sharing his story of coming to know Jesus and to be a very influential leader of the church. He talks about his life before being a Christian. He emphasizes his place of origin, his tribal ancestry, his religious background, his early hatred of Christianity, his travels, and even his persecution of Christians before he became one. God certainly used Paul’s passion and get-it-done attitude in his apostolic ministry. Paul’s Jewish status, education and political status made Paul the perfect guy to take the gospel to the known world.

Head… What does God’s redemption through Jesus mean for me?

Gen. 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

2 Cor. 5:17.  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

Col. 3:10 And have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.

1 Pet. 1:18-19 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.

Heart… How will God use my personality and passions?

1 Sam. 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”

Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Ecc. 3:11 He has put eternity into man's heart.

Mat. 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Hands… What skills and experiences will help you do the work God has called you to?

Eph 2: 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Col 3:23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,

Eph. 4:11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,

Prayer Lord thank you for offering us redemption in Jesus the Son of God. Thank you Holy Spirit for drawing us to Christ. Lord continue to show us how you are redeeming our lives, our thoughts, and our actions. You are remaking us for good works. Show us how you will use and redeem our passions, skills, experiences, our personality types, victories and our even vices to gather people in the name of Jesus to change our world.
