Welcome to Adventure Camp 2026! 🚀
The excitement doesn’t end when Vacation Bible School wraps up! Keep the momentum going all July with The Gates Church Adventure Camp 2026. Running Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, this four-week high-energy afternoon program is designed for rising 1st through 8th graders. July 6-July 31 Monday - Fridays
We are pairing targeted discipleship and leadership building with daily, action-packed themes. Every single day brings a brand-new adventure, a powerful 20-minute worship gathering, and enriching field trips around Baltimore!
Here is a sneak peek at the best highlights from our weekly themes:
    • 💼 Career Exploration Mondays (The Ultimate Mega Dress-Up Day!): We are hyping up our future leaders every Monday! Kids will explore different career paths, culminating in a massive, hilarious, and creative Mega Career Dress-Up Day on the final week with prizes for the funniest, best-dressed, and most unique outfits.
    • 🎨 Arts & Crafts Tuesdays (The Giant Piñata & Birdhouse Build): Unleash your inner artist with hands-on, multi-week projects. Kids will build their very own wooden birdhouses from scratch and experience the messy, unforgettable fun of crafting a giant church-wide piñata!
    • 🌲 Nature Wednesdays (The Big Deep-Sea Fishing Trip): Grab your binoculars and fishing gear! Nature days are all about exploring God's creation, learning local bird species, and heading out on an amazing Big Fishing Trip to Harewood Park to learn how to cast lines and catch fish.
    • ⚽ Sports Thursdays (Water-Tub Kickball & Cricket Tournaments): We are taking sports to the next level. Kids will compete in epic indoor Nerf Wars, roll out the legendary "Big Ball," crash through Slip-and-Slide Water-Tub Kickball, and learn to play awesome international games like Cricket and Australian Football!
    • 🎉 Fun Day Fridays (Indoor Bounce Houses & Ice Skating Trips): We close out every single week with pure celebration! Friday highlights include massive indoor bounce houses, giant outdoor slip-and-slides, movies, and incredible Friday field trips, including a day of Ice Skating and a trip to Fort McHenry!
🎖️ Training Next-Generation "World Changers"
This isn't just a place to hang out—it's a place to grow! Older students and middle schoolers will be equipped as World Changers.

We have had an awesome time at Armistead Elementary leading the Good News Club. We eat a snack, share a Bible story, play games, and have a great time. Our gathering is on Thursdays right after school. We meet in a room, directly across from the main office. Hope you will join us. We are a part of Child Evangelism Fellowship in Baltimore. We meet on Thursdays unless school is canceled or is a half day on Thursday.

We would love for your student to join us, and you just need to do two things to join the club and attend:

  1. Register your child for the club at goodnewsclubformarmisteadbaltimor  There is also a paper form that you can fill out, if you prefer. We can give it to you.
  2. Instruct your child to find our team right after school on Thursday in the room across from the main office at Armistead Elementary. We will have on our blue Good News Club t-shirts.

Our kids meet during our worship service to receive a teaching and ministry special for them from our kids gate team. We additionally have activities for our kids up to 5th grade several times a year. Email Mrs. Meryl with any questions you have about our kids ministry. Meryl O'Donald
